Discretionary Charges for Letters & Reports
Please be aware, that we have a policy, in line with the NHS, where we make a discretionary charge for requests for certain letters, medical evidence and reports.
We are experiencing an increase in demand for such letters and reports and they inevitably take a considerable amount of time, where our Therapists can have a high volume of patients that they are responsible for at any one time. We are clinically responsible for providing accurate information and details in such requests and as such, need to ensure that any requests are dealt with in a thorough and professional way.
Discretionary charges (usually £30 for a single letter) are made for any requests relating to situations such as travel, gym memberships, events, school, information for employers, charity events etc.
Any letters that are required as a direct part of your care, for example, a letter to your GP, a Consultant referral letter, a review to request pain relief or further investigations, will not incur a charge and are included in your appointment fee. Copies of your records can be provided in line with GDPR.
Your therapist may recommend kinesiology tape or resitance bands. We stock RockTape and Theraband, respectively, and these are chargable items. You may supply your own kinesiology tape, which your therapist will apply as part of your treatment plan at no charge during your appointment.
