Stage 1
Goals for the bike fit. Goals for the bike fit. This involves a 5-10 minute discussion with one of our clinicians to identify the goals of your bike assessment. For example; do you suffer from knee pain and want to be able to cycle further or with more power? Have you experienced neck pain after 2 hours of riding and are trying to complete your first 75 mile sportive ride? These are the questions we will ask you so that we can tailor any adjustments to help you achieve your goals.Stage 2
Body screen and Physical Assessment Active movement - Thoracic spine/ shoulders, lower back, hips and knee/ ankle Strength testing Options - Gluteal bridge, Hamstring strength testing, Calf raise tolerance, Back squat testing.Stage 3
Data Gathering + Video Assessment By starting with a cleat positional check and adjustment we can start from the “ground up”. We will then measure your leg length and by using video analysis we can measure certain angles that determine which changes to make to your set up. We can use these measurements to suggest alterations in saddle height, saddle position, saddle tilt angles or headset changes to help improve pain and performance.Stage 4
We ask you to ride for 3-5 minute intervals in between each setup adjustment so that we can evaluate your comfort and pedal stroke efficiency to optimize your position on the bike. The we will correctly and safely adjust all the torque settings on your bike and send you a session report via email. As a result of the Functional Assessment, we aim to send you a home exercise routine and make any treatment recommendations based on your musculoskeletal condition.Body & Bike | ||
